We are excited to offer you a variety of new opportunities at this year's conference. Check out the details below:

  • The Lab: One-on-one meetings with some of the most innovative companies in communications. At The Lab, organizations, companies and attendees will have the chance to meet one-on-one, debut programs or showcase innovative communications products, make new connections and learn to become better users of a product or program.

  • CEO Track: Hear from CEOs of leading nonprofits and foundations on how they view the power and potential of social sector communications. Thursday October 1, Eric Nee, the managing editor of Stanford Social Innovation Review, will lead a plenary session roundtable discussion on how leaders  view the role, value, and impact of communications.

  • Live Streaming: The CommunicationsNetwork will stream and record all 5  keynote sessions of ComNet15. Transcripts and video on demand will be available shortly after the conference concludes. The live streams will be available on ComNet15.org and ComNetwork.org

  • The ComNet15 App: Introducing the official ComNet15 app, available on the App Store and Google Play. To download it, simply search for “ComNet15” in your device’s app store.

  • Sustainability & Health Efforts: The Network is taking various steps to make ComNet15 a more sustainable and healthier event for conference attendees. This includes providing attendees with reusable items such as water bottles and bags, partnering with companies like Terracycle and Bags to Riches to recycle unwanted conference items, providing locally grown and organic food, and donating uneaten food to local food pantries.

● Change Agent: Thanks to the generous support of Fenton Communications and The Pittsburgh Foundation, The Communications Network will be publishing its second issue of Change Agent during ComNet15. Change Agent #2 features articles from NPR, IDEO.org, The Rockefeller Foundation, Ford Foundation, and The Pew Charitable Trusts, to name a few.

  • Badges: With one look at their fellow conference-goers, attendees will be able to tell if they're passionate about health care, education, the environment, poverty, or equality. We asked attendees to tell us the issues they care about and we used that information to create color-coded badges that will let them easily identify and connect with folks who share their interests.

  • Networking: More opportunities to meet colleagues and create opportunities for future collaborations. Our ComNet14 survey revealed that attendees wanted more designated networking time. We built longer and more networking breaks into the schedule this year give you more chances to connect with your colleagues, plan future collaborations, form stronger bonds, and create a closer-knit community.
