'Black in America' anchor at ComNet15 

Soledad O'Brien's career in journalism has spanned a seismic shift in the way we gather and consume news and information 

Soledad O'Brien, a veteran journalist, news anchor and documentary filmmaker will be a featured keynoter at ComNet15, The Communications Network's annual conference in San Diego, California. She will appear on Thursday October,1. 

O'Brien, whose career has mirrored the rise of the internet and its disruption of the news media, is perhaps best known as an award-winning television news anchor for CNN and MSNBC.

Her Black in America series for CNN remains one the network's highest rated programs. Washington Post columnist Tom Shales praised O'Brien and her team for turning ordinary stories into an "extraordinary series....[The series] looms as a tremendous accomplishment for O'Brien and for the many producers, editors and crew members who poured themselves into it."
